Gen-Connect just concluded another event at Richview Manor of Vaughan. The afternoon was full of energy as the performers presented some exiting pieces. The residents experienced a variety of performances from nostalgic vocal pieces to classical instrumental pieces.

Yasamin Yamani, kicked of the event with a cover of 'Stand By Me' by Ben E. King. Many of the residents face lit up when they first heard this song.

The event continued on with some classical piano pieces from the RCM series performed by Bernice Kan, Lily Fang, Breiana Kan, Lily Fang, and Jaiden Jones-Imhotep. The residents had a big smile on their face when Jaiden announced that he was going to playing 'Sonata in C major' by Mozart. This song defines what a classic is, being released in 1788.

Ava Burdman, gave a taste of modern arts through her cover of 'Part of Your World' from the movie Little Mermaid.

One part that we all enjoyed about this event was the feedback we received from the residents. Many of them showed their excitement through dancing, singing, and clapping. Evan Bui performed 'Imagine', by John Lennon. Brianna Nita, performed three songs.

The most notable song Brianna performed was 'Can't Help Falling In Love' by Elvis Presley. One of the residents accompanied the piece so beautifully that it sounded like it was part of the backing track.

To conclude the event, a strings ensemble, from St. Theresa of Lisieux performed three pieces: 'Over the Rainbow' by Judy Garland and 'Merry Go Around Of Life' by Joe Hisaishi and 'A Million Dreams' from The Greatest Showman. Their performance was a nice way to conclude the event on a relaxing note.
