Event - December 2nd, 2023

Another amazing event hosted by Gen-Connect at Delmanor Elgin Mills! Gen-Connect continues to connect generations through entertainment with the help of performers, host, and volunteers. A variety of music and instruments were played to give the residents an exciting afternoon.

We begin with the piano by Grace Shi, who plays nocturne in E minor. Many of the residents expressed their amazement considering Grace Shi's age of 9 as she flawlessly performed a challenging yet beautiful piece.

Continuing with the event, Yasamin Yamani sang Sway by Dean Martin, a wonderful performance. Next up, Emily You performs captiviating performance, playing Sonata in G major showcasing her talent and skills. The audience was applause by her showcase, making it a memorable moment in the event.

A very unique instrument played in the event, was the Cello Solo, was played by Frank Qian who showcased the song "Apres In Reve". The next participate, Angelina Lebed, sang Over the Rainbow from the Lizard of Oz. To continue the event, Erika You who played Storm in C major. The residents had a big smile on their faces when all the performers sang and played with passion.

Next in line, Sarah Bui presents "Spirit" from the composer Christopher Norton. Alicia Han, who fascinated the audience, performs two songs, "Etude" and "Comptine d'un Autre ete".

To conclude the event, Brianna Nita sang Santa Baby and Sera Sera. Many of the residents recognized these songs and started singing along with her, making the end of the event the most memorable one.
