Event - December 16th, 2023

Gen-Connect just concluded another event at Richview Manor of Vaughan. The afternoon was full of energy as the performers presented some exciting pieces. The residents experienced a variety of performances from nostalgic vocal pieces to classical instrumental pieces.
The afternoon started off with a three moving piano performance by Emily You, Erika You who played an acclaimed RCM pieces and music by a chinese composer, respectively. The audience was captivated by their performances, and the blend of classical music and culture left the audience excited for more!

Emily's performance was followed by Sarah Bui on the violin was nothing, and while short of mesmerizing. She transported the audience with not only her skill, but her connection with her instrument. Our audience at Richview Manor were entranced by Sarah, and thoroughly enjoyed her performance.

The stage came alive with Hugo Bui's charismatic rendition of the popular song "Demons" by Imagine Dragons. Armed with only his voice and a ukulele, Hugo moved the entire audience with his cover, making an unforgettable performance.

Following Hugo's performance, Anna He and Grace Shi both graced our audience with their touching piano performances which exuded a timeless elegance. They had the audience swaying along to their songs, and connecting everyone through their sweet music.
Russell Bui took the stage with a guitar in hand and performed a moving cover of "I Ain't Worried" by OneRepublic. His music had our whole audience singing along, and was able to provide a reminder of summer freedom on this cold day!


Grace Shi brought us back with a lovely piano performance that brought the whole room together once again. Grace's performance was a journey through emotions, leaving the audience with a sense of introspection and appreciation for the beauty of simplicity.
Frank Qian captivated the whole of Richview Manor with his incredible Cello skills. Starting his performance off with a classic waltz, all of our audience members were on the edge of their seats. Soon after he brought out the Christmas hat and we knew he meant business!


Anika E singing Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love" didn't leave a single dry eye in the entire room. Our whole audience was singing along to her incredible voice, and her emotions throughout the entire song had everyone mesmerized.


Finally our very own event speaker Brianna Nita ended off our event with two incredible songs that had the whole audience entranced. Starting off with a Christmas classic, before closing off with a beyond impressive performance of "I Could Have Danced All Night Long," which certainly had us dancing!


In a symphony of talent, Gen-Connect's event at Richview Manor sparkled with diverse performances. Each performer left the audience in awe, proving once again the unifying power of music in bringing joy and connection.
